The final Chow Down Midtown

July 11 - 24 get discounted meals from your favorite midtown restaurants


The final Chow Down Midtown is coming to Indy in a few weeks. The two-week dining extravaganza will run July 11 – 24. More than 40 restaurants will be serving special menus at a discounted rate one the two weeks. It's the perfect chance to try some new restaurants without breaking the bank. 

The event was announced in a press release earlier today:

Restaurant week event, Chow Down Midtown, will return from Monday, July 11 – Sunday, July 24 at more than 30 restaurants serving three-course, value-priced menus. During the two-week foodie event, diners will be able to experience some of Indianapolis’ most eclectic restaurants featuring decadent desserts, succulent salads, enticing entrees and more.

A live cocktail contest, featuring recipes created by employees from participating restaurants, will also be held on Thursday, July 14 featuring 12 drinks (three from each sponsor liquor brand - Starlight Distillery, St. George Spirits, Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery and Town Branch Bourbon). A panel of judges will sample the drinks and determine a winner per each cocktail brand category and an overall Best of Show.

For a second year, an online cocktail contest will also showcase the 12 creative concoctions, featured during the live competition, allowing the public to vote for the People's Choice. The cocktail with the most Facebook likes will be deemed the winner.

The sixth annual Chow Down Midtown, created and executed by the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association in conjunction with Midtown Indy, includes eateries from 65th St. to the north, Fall Creek Parkway to the south, Illinois St. to the west and Keystone Ave. to the east.

Don't worry about this being the final Chow Down Midtown, the event is not disappearing, it is simply being incorporated into a larger event. All of Indianapolis' restaurant week events (Devour Downtown, Chow Down Midtown and Devour Northside) will merge into one huge, fantastic event entitled Devour Indy.
