The folks at EclecticPond, whom you may know for their Shakespeare-on-speed medleys, are back with another playful reinterpretation. Director Carey Shea has amped up the sci-fi and fantasy elements of The Tempest, replacing Prospero with an Amelia Earhart-like aviatrix who disappeared while flying over the Bermuda Triangle. There is more: An art show by Lydia Burris will run concurrently in the theater’s main hall. And a drum circle will precede each show. The venue is located in the new Irvington Coal Factory development.
