Throwback Tuesdays at Eagles Theatre

Throwback Tuesdays, a nine-week series of classic movies, kicks off September 3 at the historic Eagles Theatre in Wabash with the 1954 thriller “Rear Window.” The film retrospective features movie classics from the 1940s, 50s and 60s on subsequent Tuesdays throughout September and October. Admission is $2, with show times at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

-September 3: “Rear Window,” the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock-directed film starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly
-September 10: “True Grit,” a 1969 western starring John Wayne, Glen Campbell and Kim Darby
-September 17: “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre,” from 1948, starring Humphrey Bogart
-September 24: “Citizen Kane,” a 1941 drama directed by, co-written by and starring Orson Welles
-October 1: “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof,” based on Tennessee Williams’ famous play, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman, from 1958
-October 8: “Breakfast At Tiffany’s,” the 1961 romantic comedy starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard
-October 15: “To Kill A Mockingbird,” the 1962 film adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel of the same name, starring Gregory Peck
-October 22: “An American In Paris,” the 1951 musical film inspired by the 1928 orchestral composition by George Gershwin, starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron
-October 29: “The Philadelphia Story,” a romantic comedy from 1940 with an all-star cast, including Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn and James Stewart
