Written + Spoken Word

Trade School: NaNoWriMo Prep

When: Mon., Oct. 28, 5:30-7 p.m. 2013

Are you ready to barter for some knowledge? Sign up to take a class by agreeing to bring goods or services that a teacher requests. Classes will run October through November.

"November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) which is a free, fun-for-all endeavor to write a 50,000 word novel in a single month. Pave your way to NaNo success by pre-plotting your novel prior to November! In this class, you will learn a variety of story conventions that need to be present in every story. You will create mile marker signposts for your own story, which will help guide your novel and inform your plot. Even if you aren’t a plotter or an experienced writer, you will have a better grasp on your future novel by the end of this class. Please bring a pen, paper and either Post-It Notes or index cards. This class benefits Indy Reads Books, an independent bookstore in Indianapolis selling new and used books to generate revenue toward advancing adult literacy in central Indiana. Your barter items provide much needed office supplies to their store."
