When: Mon., Nov. 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 2013
Are you ready to barter for some knowledge? Sign up to take a class by agreeing to bring goods or services that a teacher requests. Classes will run October through November.
"This yoga class invites you to discover a new way to re-connect with your body, reduce stress and soothe your spirit. We will provide a powerful yet non-threatening environment for people of any age to get in shape while cultivating balance and acceptance. In this introductory class, you will be guided through a safe but effective session that will build strength, increase flexibility and improve your sense of well-being. The barter items for this class benefit Trusted Mentors, an organization that uses the power of mentoring to help adults establish stable lives. They focus on reducing the chaos brought about by poverty, homelessness, under-employment, and the effects of incarceration. These person-to-person mentoring relationships improve lives by developing life skills and positive social networks. The barter items will be used to help these individuals transition into the workforce and keep warm in the Winter. A representative will be at the class on behalf of the organization."
