Unusually Natural: Portraits by Eduardo Torres

When: Fri., April 3, 5-8:30 p.m. 2015

Eduardo is a computational neuroscientist, originally from Venezuela. His interest is in understanding complex systems using minimal models. This photographic project is a study of expressions of feminine beauty, in their most essential, raw, and natural form — of love, affection, intimacy. All within their specific contexts: the texture of their skin, their constellation of freckles, the entanglement of their hair, the geometry of their bodies and dynamics of their mannerisms. Above all, this is a study of the process of making portraits — which he describes as a certain falling in love.
