When: Sat., April 28, 7 p.m. 2012
This winter and spring, join film historian and preservationist Eric Grayson as he presents “Fallen Stars,” a film series featuring actors who were ostracized from Hollywood. This week's film is Exile Express (1939) featuring Anna Sten. Originally billed as "The Russian Garbo," Sten’s thick accent didn't connect with American audiences, and she was blamed for a series of expensive failures. As a result, Sten was redubbed "Anna Stench" by the press (Runtime: 71 min). Tickets are available at the door on the night of the film.
