Visions from the Forests: The Art of Liberia and Sierra Leone

When: March 7-May 10 2015

This unprecedented exhibition of traditional art from Liberia and Sierra Leone features more than 70 objects from the collection of William Seigman, an IU alumnus and former curator of African Art at the Brooklyn Museum. The IU Art Museum is one of four venues in the U.S. to host the show, which was also exhibited at the National Museum of African Art. The collection includes masks, figures, and prestige arts from more than a dozen ethnic groups.
