William Lamson: Resonant Object

When: April 14-Aug. 23 2011

Brooklyn-based conceptual artist William Lamson creates a sculpture and sound installation in the Efroymson Family Entrance Pavilion by transforming a former communications tower into a sound-producing object. The tower is used as an antenna to receive a weather radio signal that initiates vibrations throughout the structure. This ‘poetic intervention’ allows Lamson to explore the forces of nature and the passage of time. For more information, call 317-923-1331 or visit www.imamuseum.org.
