Way back in 1999, Josh Arnoudse and Raky Sastri commenced an awkward and terrible swordfight. After that, they were best friends, eventually taking their friendship to band level. These days, they've share the stage with bands like The Lumineers and Josh Ritter. The Spring Standards, coming by way of Brooklyn, are a trio made up of only two names: Heather and James, and James. They describe themselves as "the James boys being blessed with throats of velvet, and Heather with the wind of a foghorn." Sounds pretty good to us.
